- About the Winery -

Soreq Winery was established by the Shaham family in 1994 and is one of the first Israeli boutique wineries.

The winery lies in the heart of the Soreq valley, descending from the Jerusalem Mountains to the Judean plains. This is a green area, rich in forests, rounded hills and archaeological remains up to 3,000 years old. In the past this area was an impressive wine country. Today the region is in the midst of a revolution in which its quality and uniqueness as a wine region are being rediscovered.

Our wines express the qualities arising from the characteristics of the growing region, the vineyard and the grapes. These are wines endowed with intense flavors and a prominent texture that originates from the grapes and technology, resulting in extraction of rich flavors from the fruit. The grapes are harvested in selected vineyards from four different regions, while constantly searching for new vineyards with unique and interesting varieties.

A winery that is also a wine-making school - since its inception, the winery has operated a professional wine-making school, achieving to study and to educate the doctrine of wine-making. As for 2024, amid our 30 years celebration, we proudly count approximately 200 operating Israeli wineries of which the owners and/or winemakers are former students of Soreq wine-making school.
The scope of joint production of Soreq winery is about 150,000 bottles per year, which are divided between the winery itself, the school and wineries producing their wines here within our role as a service winery.
The winery's vision is "creating joy through the world of wine making". And we are happy to fulfill this vision every day!
